Notes
See the recipe post above for more ingredients swaps & easy modifications. If you want to make this salad ahead of time - you can toss together the Brussels sprouts and broccoli carrot slaw and keep them together in one large bowl. Then store the cut fruit (oranges and if using, blueberries) separately. You can add all the ingredients for the dressing (lemon juice, maple syrup, extra virgin olive oil, and salt) to a lidded jar and also store that in the fridge. Then when it’s time to serve it up, you can just shake the jar and pour it into the large bowl. Adding fresh fruit and sunflower seeds before serving.*And a quick note about the blueberries – you’ll see these listed as optional on the ingredients list but you may have noticed that they are not in any of the photos. Instead of re-making and re-shooting the whole thing, I figured I’d rather get the recipe out to you asap.Do yourself a favor and don’t forget them in this – they’re magical + sweet + antioxidant packed!
