    Around here, we celebrate life by eating well, staying active, and figuring out what's best for our minds & bodies. We like to stay curious and we're always hungry to learn more. But sometimes, it can be a struggle doing it all on your own. Am I right?

    That's where FYF comes in - to support you on your own journey by sharing what I’ve learned on mine.

    ABOUT THE BLOG

    I started the blog in 2015 to share healthy recipes with my family and friends. But over the years, it’s become so much more than a recipe-sharing site.

    FYF is a food + health + wellness blog.

    Because we recognize that food is just ONE piece of the puzzle. By now you know that when it comes to actually living a healthy life, there is so much more to it than just what you eat.

    Leaving the rest out of it (like the why and the how) would be cheating you of the full story. I've been there before and I know how it feels to want big changes in your life (and how frustrating it feels not knowing how to make them happen).

    That’s why we choose to share healthy recipes AND also share:

    • why eating well matters
    • how to meal prep
    • ways to make healthy habits stick
    • which ingredients to reach for and why
    • how to choose cleaner beauty & household products

    I am not a medical professional or trained chef. I'm just a real person who is deeply curious and fiercely passionate about living WELL.

    And someone who knows first-hand just how difficult it can be to find your own way.

    I’ve been overweight. I’ve been underweight. And every emotion in between. It took me a LONG time to make peace with food + my body. Over a decade of stumbling followed by reading, learning, healing, and working to find the healthy lifestyle that fits me best. One that was sustainable, attainable, and one that I truly LOVE living. My sincere hope is that by sharing what I've learned on my journey, that it might help you go even further on yours.

    I’m a Holistic Health Coach + podcaster + the creator of FYF. I run this business with help from my husband, Billy - he’s the food photographer + devoted taste-tester who handles all the images on the site. Together we are the two-person team behind Free Your Fork.

    When I’m not working with clients, you can find me happily trekking on some trail somewhere. If you follow me on Instagram then you know just how much I love being anywhere with trees, mountains, or rivers.
